CNIYEF Hosts High-Level Discussion on Nepal’s Economic and Industrial Outlook

The CNI Young Entrepreneurs Forum (CNIYEF), the youth wing of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI), organized a high-level interaction program in Kathmandu titled “Diagnosing the Economic & Industrial Health of Nepal.”
The event brought together young business leaders, policy experts, and industrialists to discuss the structural challenges and growth opportunities within Nepal’s economy. Senior experts who have played significant roles in shaping Nepal’s financial and legal framework participated in the discussion.
The panel featured former minister Anil Kumar Sinha and former finance secretary Rameshwor Prasad Khanal. The session, attended by CNI President Birendra Raj Pandey and other industry leaders, was moderated by CNIYEF Vice President Nida Doon Malla.
Speaking at the program, CNIYEF President Manish Shrestha emphasized the importance of accurately assessing the country’s current economic condition. He stated that understanding the present economic reality is essential for charting Nepal’s future direction and reaffirmed the forum’s commitment to bridging the gap between experienced policymakers and the energy of young entrepreneurs.
Discussions during the session focused on complexities in federal fiscal administration, legal barriers to industrial development, and the evolving landscape of Nepal’s commercial sector. During the interactive Q&A session, representatives from manufacturing, technology, and service industries raised concerns regarding liquidity, policy stability, and the overall investment climate.
The program formally concluded with remarks from former CNIYEF President Ashish Agrawal, who expressed appreciation for the valuable insights shared by the distinguished experts.
